Default New Racer?

I currently have a RD Mongoose and love it, waiting for parts is sometimes annoying and they are pricey, but I like how the new G4S is setup and all the advanced features it has so here are the 3 choices, cheapest is best but I know going into racing requires deep pockets.

R40 Hara 05 - $449, LHS stocks parts, parts are cheaper, easy to get, plentifull, towers has parts
Team Magic G4S - $379, Parts have to be order, parts cost a bit more, setup is amazing, quick release on every part that needs to be easy to get to, lightweight parts, both servos arelaydown, UFO type clutch, LHS doesnt stock parts, but they are not impossible to find just gotta order them.Towers doesn't have parts
Mugen MTX-4 - $479, Parts are pricey, LHS doesnt stock all of them, towers has parts, Mugen is mugen so I can expect performance out of it, but not any more then the R40 or G4S can.

I am going to start this by saying I am sponsored by Mugen.....

First, the price you have posted for the kit is quite high. I guess that is your local hobby shop price. If that is the case, try talking to the owner. I checked three places online after reading your post.

www.teamtaylorracing.com $430
www.gasrccar.com $429
www.nitrohouse.com $429

This car is still not cheap, but if you are doing mail order, you can get a better deal. If that is the local shop, talk to them. Making some money is better than making nothing. I can say this much. The Mugen car is a great car. The level of support from the factory is top notch. Two of the countries best drivers , Robbie Collins and Mike Swauger, work there. Mugen has a fairly large team with good drivers in most of the markets and can help you almost anywhere you go. Being a Mugen driver puts me in a great position. I can come on a forum and not have to say anything negative about anybody else. There is so much positive about the Mugen car it is easy to talk about. There are other good cars out there right now, but I really believe that right now Mugen has the best overall product to offer. In my opinion, if you add it all up (parts quality, car handling, car durability, parts availability, online and phone support) there is no better sedan on the market right now than the Mugen MTX4.

I'll throw in a vote for the G4S. Easier for a 'non-pro' rocket driver to get going fast. I'm only average and I won my state title with one.

My G4 was hard on tyres too, but the G4S is much better.

....so you won't look back? Is that because everything else is in front? Just Jokes... I couldn't resist.

Seriously though, you don't know what you're missing if you haven't driven the new G4S.
