Default CVEC, old VS new design

Yesterday i wrecked my nrs4 2. After ording my parts i noticed that one of my stingers were loose on my pipe. Come to find out the sucker is striped. While looking around on tower, I see that they have a new style of cvec pipe. The newer pipe is shorter and thicker than the previous version. To me it seems like it would provide more torq and less speed than my current one(previous version). I would like to know if any of you seen/have/ran the both the cvec pipes. I want to know mainly how they sound(important factor) and how much power they make when you compare the 2 cvec pipes. Yes, i know they arent legal, and it has its bad points but give ANY input you have about em.
