How do you start your nitro?
I picked up a serpent impact with a novarossi big block and a starter box from a buddy. Problem is I can't get it to start unless I dribble some fuel in the carb. Is there a technique to get these started without pulling the body and the air filter? I had to do the same thing with my old first gen T-maxx too. I tried holding a finger over the exhaust for a second until some fuel spirts in the carb, that didn't work either. The glow igniter is fine, I usually check it on a plug in my wrench, and it will fire right up and run great as soon as I dribble some fuel in the carb. This is also my first car with a turbo plug, why don't the regular glow plug igniters I have seem to fit or clamp on as well?

to start a nitro engine,
first: cover exhaust hole and DO NOT put ignitor, bumb the car on starter box to prime the fuel into carburator.
second: do not cover exhaust hole, place ignitor onto glow plug, wait for 2 second then bumb the car on starter box to start the engine.

just set the car on the starterbox with the igniter off, push down and let the box turn the engine over. You can tell whe the fuel gets into the engine, when revs up some. Then put the ign. on it, and bump it down on the wheel, it should fire right up.
Ths previous way is a good way to flood the engine, if you try to start an engine in hydro lock you can break it.
