Hey Josh, I believe we can practice up thru Wed. Most people I talk to say they will be running from this Friday through the entire week.

I'll have the trailer out and set up no later than Tuesday morning, and you are more than welcome to use the facilities!

That weather sucks! Where's all the rain...like we get here in NY? We never get five days in a row of sunshine.

Maybe that's why I'm coming out there...

As I was out and about this evening, I came up with a mathematical way of figuring out what your chances are of winning the Nats. Its quite simple actually. Im surprised that no one has come up with it before. Since being eligible to win the Nats is dependent on where you qualify - and actually winning the Nats is dependent on finishing the race, there are two composite values that will determine your chances of winning. So if youre interested in figuring out if youre going to beat you know who, then grab a piece of paper and lets get started!

First, write down what Mains you qualified for, in the last five races you participated in, in which there were more than 24 racers in the 200mm on-road sedan class.

If youve never participated in five races with more than 24 racers, then its unlikely that you will win the Nats. Please put your pencil down and go on to the next post.

For those of you that are still with me, give yourself 10 points for each A main, 9 points for B Main, 8 points for each C Main and so on down the line. If you didnt start or finish a particular main, you get zero points for that Main. If you bumped yourself up, add 1 point for each bump up, but the maximum number of points for each race can only be 10 points. Maximum possible number of points for all five events is 50. Now divide that value by five.

If your average point value is less than 9.0, it is unlikely that you will qualify for the A Main. Please put your pencil down and go on to the next post.

Now that were figured out you have a good chance of qualifying for the A Main, its time to determine if you will take home the first place trophy. For each of the five Mains listed above, write down where you placed. Then give yourself 10 points for first, 9 points for second, 8 points for third and so on down the line. Now comes the tricky part. You are going to subtract points from each Main based on where you qualified for the Main.

If you qualified:

- 1st, subtract zero
- 2nd, subtract 0.25
- 3rd, subtract 0.5
- 4th, subtract 0.75
- 5th, subtract 1.0
- 6th, subtract 1.25
- 7th, subtract 1.50
- 8th, subtract 1.75
- 9th, subtract 2.0
- 10th, subtract 2.25
- anything else, subtract 3.0

Now add the total and divide by 5.

If your average point value is less than 9.0, it is unlikely that you will win the Nats. Please put your pencil down and go on to the next post.

If you are still reading this, then you have a good chance of winning the Nats! Its even possible that youre the only person reading this! If thats the case, then you are almost guaranteed to win the 2006 ROAR Nationals!

I did all calculation per your instraction and I think I found the winner http://67.18.81.100/rcuvideos/magazi.../skycutter.wmv
