Yo Woodman..... don't be sad for having MRX4 instead of MRX4-R version ....... just don't ya

Good setup, proper maintenance, adequate race preparation, and driving skills are more important than " R " or " X " factor.

In my hometrack, some people are still racing with older cars like MRX3, 950 and MRX4. They are racing in group A and B..... while in group C and D, all of them are running newer cars like Motonica P8, 960, MRX4-R.

Wait until X conversion kit comes or wait for MRX5 next year ( if you can hold your breath that long )

Ouch.......

Mike Swauger ....... I wish MRX5 comes with ultra narrow upper deck just like Motonica P8.

Default MRX4 Pics

Is there a site dedicated (or a gallery) to the Mugen On Road cars? Particularly the MRX4?

I would really like to see other guys cars. Chassis shots for details on all the lil' ticks for wiring and under the hood stuff and of course bodies andaction shots too.

Perhaps a good build article for the 4?

THX....

You can go to Mugen Japan's site: http://www.mugenseiki.co.jp/mugen/menueefi.htm

Click on setting sheet, then blank MRX4R. To hight light the sheet you need to click on the camera on the tool bar menu. Then highlight the setting sheet and it will copy it. After it copies the sheet you can paste it to paint and edit away.

Default Central body advice.

I know that now the coolest bodies are the Frizzbeos and others, but... got a pair of Central bodies and wanted to know if anyone tried them and where located them.

My other bodies are Kyosho Dome bodies (2 seater) and didn't run a PF530 for many months so my baseline actually is the Dome.

Where to locate it on the body? just trimmed by the ground lines but wanted to know where to do the bodymount holes and what body mount positions you used?

BTW: Is just me or that body is really low and slammed? PF530 and Domes seems to be somewhat higher....

Default Smoooookin........

HOLY SCREAMING CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just fired up and drove my MRX4 for the first time last night. WOW.... Probably ran through 1/2 a tank on the box and then in 1st gear taking it easy up and down the road and then.... when it shifted into 2nd gear, it kicked sideways a bit and I almost lost control . I have a lot of time on the drivers stand but never drove anything like this. It's got a Rex 321P w/ 16/21 gearing on it and I fattened it up quite a bit cuz I didn't have a temp gun at the time. Can't wait to get to the track this weekend for the first time and lean it out to a tune. Just hope I don't wad it up

Welcome to the class where the boys are separated from the mens...

The most shocking for the people who grab such slingshots for the first time is the way it changes into second gear and makes a lot of zooom!. Is nice to go out of turns little sideways but not too much (drifting with such cars is frightening and expensive in terms of tyre wear).

Regarding temp probe.... save the money for tyres and fuel. Learn to tune your engine by ear and eye (ask for help on the track about this) and don't carry with a temp probe. Better invest on a tyre truer and a setup station, will be much more needed if you plan to be serious with an 1/8 scale car.

LOL!!! For sure that I'm not the unique. Well... lately, 'Big Boss' doesn't allow me to hear at the volume 'I like it'...
