constantly stripping gears with everything (gear mesh, shaft side play, etc...) set-up properly sounds like a one way problem. Clean the one way and re-lube it.

Check your 2 speed shaft bearings. If they go you will strip gears because your mesh will vary.

Default Lipo

I run lipos in my xr8 but in the mrx4r i don't because the battery that is designed for it has plenty of runtime with good servos. I would say a lipo would be better if they don't scale your car because it will be lighter and is under weight with a ni-mh battery. In any kind of racecar lighter is faster!

Side to side play should is adjusted by the pulley that runs the side belt. Lipo,s are light and so are Mugens. I run a ni-mih and a brass tray to keep the wieght low.

I've been running the MRT...f'ing fast! Makes runtime, stays cool (maybe too cool sometimes) and pulls in every part of the track.

Don't know about the JP. Not sure how much it costs, but if its anything like what their prices used to be, then forget it.

Hi there, yesterday I won 3rd place in B final 1/8 Indonesian National Series with my MRX4-R.

I remove the front stabiliser and the car turn very easy ( I'm talking about mid cornering and corner exit on full throttle ).

What body were you running? I've had problems with a mid corner push as well. I was using a Parma and with advise from Pooh I'm trying the Serpent/Central body. Never thought about removing the sway bar.

I'm using Serpent body.... don't know the real name.

I heard the new 1/8 protoform and kawahara are the best in business..... I haven't buy it yet.

I would test these for mid cornering push :
(1). Put the caster clips all the way front ( the caster is more lay down )
(2). Lay down front shocks to lowest setting ( more lay down )
(3). Change front spring to grey ( softer than white ).

We're racing! And when a car like the MRX4R works this well, every time you go out, then there's nothing to discuss.

Except maybe how well you did. Good job asw7576!

What's good with you, Pooh?
