Default Kawahara tires

im thinking of buying a couple sets of Kawahara tires for my MRX4R, i have heard they work great in hot weather.
I looked on the mugen site and saw 32 shores for sale.
has anyone used thes tires before, and if so, how were they.

32sh is too soft. Better go with soft/medium compounds like 35's and 37's. Another nifty thing on kawahara tyres is they are available on multiring compounds, sometimes worth the try of multiring sets, specially when wear is quite high.

If you request them, they have available 37's and 40's too (40's at least here is foolish, mainly we use 35's and some 37's but for outer side, just to compensate wear).

I don't remember if I've put a full set of 37's anytime.

Default What kind of rear upper arm do you use?

Ditto:

In your setup, what kind of rear upper arm you use on your 4-R? The one with the eccentric (inner/outer) or the regular one?

I'm constanly using the one with the eccentric with the eccentric on the inner side (weird... people seems to rave with the arm on their shortest form but..)

I run 37s all around. Long lasting tires, strong rims and great traction. never tried 40s, but I only run them in sedan.

I run the ccentrics, i use the inner position, closest to the center of the chassis.but im going to experiment with that.
i also run long wheel base on my home track , too much push with the short.
if you have time, check out our track, ontario1/8onroadracingclub.com

Can some one point me to a site that has overdrive/underdrive explainations. For example a 7mm split will make the car do what compared to a 5mm split. An answers will be appreciated.

40's are way too hard at least for the tracks here (maybe in American tracks where they spray traction compounds on the surface are usable). Only times I've seen putting one 40 (front/outer) was after a complete week of running 120 pilots (walking by the track was difficult due to the massive amount of rubber over the asphalt).

37's are the hardest normally usable here and aren't suited for everyone.
