Drill the holes in the flyweights out to 3.5mm. Get the msr spring. Set the nut at .9mm or 9.5mm (I think, I just started to measure it from the end of the crank). Run the car see what you got. If you find your self cranking the nut more than say 1mm you need to enlarge the holes in the weights more. If your blessed with light traffic on the track, listen closely to the engines tone both when the clutch engages and when the car shifts into second. If the car starts pulling wheels either the traction is to good(go scream at the track owner) or to much clutch to much trigger finger(Yell at the mechanic and chew out the driver).

You can also check out the Feb issue of Xtreme RC Car Mag. There is a "How to" article on building centax clutches with Mike Swauger. The article is based on the Mugen clutch.

Sohlman- What body and gearing setup are you running at floyd? Just curious to see what others are using aside from the Protoform Body and just changing to the 16T pinion. I heard some are using the Kyosho dome on the MRX4 as well...is that true?

I've been running the Mugen Whip with 16/20 49/46 just about everywhere.

Yes, we've been using the Dome, Parma, and even the new Serpent...they are the only legal ones out right now that resemble the Whip. BTW - the Whip is no longer ROAR legal. The WHIP TWO will be out soon.

Too wide. So was the original Dome. Check the ROAR list, the Whip is gone.

Steve- Thanks for the info. I'll see if Tony has the Acer bearings. I do know he still been sellin the Protoform bodies and I'm gonna get something different this time. Got my .21 Nova top to rebuild and a Carlsen Mega (5 tanks gonna buy off a friend) to work with this year. I was going for a C6, but not sure as yet. I'd rather spend the $400+ on parts and stuff.
