Default Chassis

Rear of chassis is narrower, hole patterns are different for MRX4 bulkheads & roll centers which are different, front holes won't work with MRX4 bulkheads, motor mount location.

Oh, and by the way, get your ass back on VRC, we have some racing to finish.
Well..... you tried that R01 I had last year and I don't think that it will outrun the R03.

VRC will be tough this weekend- I have the kids... you know the deal. My watercooled computer is just too loud with all the radiator fans to fire it up after the kids go to bed. Sounds like a Helo, but damn it's sweet

well you could race with it, but there would be limited part support.
id spend the money on a brand new MRX4R.
just my opinion

Don't do it. I've owned 2 of them. Good car but the 4 is far superior. PLus parts are getting rare. Just my 2 cents.

Some great stuff on this forum. I've just read through it and am getting an R. For those w/ the Ninja pipe....does it come with a manifold? Or what pipe/manifold combo do you suggest w/ the Ninja motor? Also, what brand tires do you guys run? Do the Kyosho tires fit? sorry for so many Q's

Pipe alone. Ninja pipe and med, manifold. Jaco, ATS tires and the Kyosho rims are the same.

I see a listing for Ninja "buggy long" and "buggy short" manifolds.

Can you suggest a "medium manifold" that will work?

Doc,

Thank you for the input. My question was: Does Ninja make an onroad header for the Ninja pipe? I did not see a part number for one.

I have been racing 1/8 buggy for the last few years but also have some background in tc and 1/12 scale. Fuel onroad is a new class for me so forgive me if I ask a dumb question. I got VRC for Christmas and I've been glued to the comp

Ninja has three .21 onroad manifolds (headers): short, med & long.

Both body mounts should work. It depends on how you want the front end to handle...more or less front steering.

Before you make your final decision on a body, the Mugen "Whip Two" is coming. It's being developed right now with even more front steering.

Thanks, sohlman, i prefer more steering, i will try both on the parma R10.
last year i bought a couple of the "whip" bodies and i must say, usually im a big fan of mugen products, but i wasnt pleased with the low level of quality and materials used in that body.
a slight breeze would wrinkle the side walls near the rear and it didnt come with braces.
Not too mention, the lip on the front of the body is huge and when i tried to trim it down, it just didnt look right as compared to the rest of the cars profile.
Dont get me wrong, i would definitely try another "new " version of the body, but i would like to see other drivers use them as well and possibly see a team driver pull off a big win with one.
