There was a bit of a rumour that the 35+21 has a hard time making the 5 minute mark with the legal amount of fuel, Is this true???

I have a few of the full option FX R-03's and they are about the same, the JP is slightly faster in top end and better on fuel mileage.

Default 25T side pulley

Anyone have a solution for the loose belt when using the 25t pulley? I have the tensioner as tight as it can go.

Quiet storm, i am only guessing that it is stretched cause i have tried the 25tooth pulley and i know it may make a noticeable difference, but it should still be somewhat tight when using the tensioner.
another thing, the 25 tooth is too low, unless your running on an extremely small tight track , i wouldnt recommend using it anyway

I'm running it because I'm experimenting with small tires.

Just a general statement:

Quietstorm, I applaud you trying different things like smaller tires. If you got the time, there are so many different things you can try that the setup sheets don't show...no overdrive, body position, wing height, pipes, manifolds, clutch set up, tire split, tire camber, bearings, shift points, not to mention radio tuning, etc., etc. And some of these things may or may not compliment your driving style. This is one of the reasons Mugen USA does not always update their setup sheets...because sometimes the setup on the sheet doesn't change, other things do. But it's a great feeling when you find something, or the right combo of things and your game steps up to the next level. Great to see people doing things out of the norm. That truly is the spirit of this hobby and maybe way I'm so addicted to it. Happy racing in 2007!

Have a great holiday season everyone.

Steve

I predict that the car will push with a 25t pulley due to the front tires spinning.

Spinning tires = no traction.

Default overdrive ratio chart

I have an Excel spreadsheet set-up to compute overdrive ratio based on the pulleys on the car and the tire diameter. This spreadsheet allow you to change the number of teeth on the pulley and see the impact that this change has on the front to rear overdrive ratio.

If you would like me to email a copy of this go to

Yep any movement of the wheel it will be a dart before the suspension takes effect, once the suspension starts to work the push monster will arrive! Have fun, lots a stuff to test; run the a setting on ackerman then change to the d. Ye ha easy on the throttle with the d.

Thanks for the tips winner's circle and mugendrew. I'm happy with my current setup, I'm really just trying to use up some small tires I have.

Rubber belts = smoother drivetrain.
