Hpi Rs4 3 Engine

HAS ANY ONE DONE THIS.
I am putting a .15ss in place of my .15fe on my rs4 3.
My goal is to beat a stock traxxas 4-tec on parking lot draging.
Should this be all i need to do or will i need to change alot more on my car?

Default .15ss in place of my .15fe on

DEONE469;

If your talking about the Nitro 4-tec, then you may also need a 2 spd transmission on your car to level the playing field. Get the 13/18 clutchbell and matching spur gears and set the tranny to shift early after about 15' out. Should be enough to beat the Traxxas.

Good luck racing

If you can change to a slide carburetor you will get much faster off the line acceleration as the air intake is a little bigger and the air flow is guided straight into the engine rather then around a bend as in the rotary valve type. He won't be able to keep up from the start.
