John,

Post some more of the track pictures that I saw later today.

For those who aren't familiar with this club they've come a long way over the last 3 to 4 years in promoting and running organized on road nitro races in the greater Toronto and Hamilton Ontario area.

This is a great club to run with and a great track to run on, having elevation changes, and now being sealed, should provide a great season of racing for the club.

There are 2 big races for the Ontario Club, the Canadian Gas Nationals on July 1 and 2, and the Can-Am Challenge on Aug. 19 and 20. Go to their website for more information at http://www.swayze.ca/O1-8ORRC/index.html to find everything you need to attend these races. Well worth the trip for some great racing!

I'm fortunate to live equidistant between two of the best tracks in North America; the Hamilton track run by the Ontario 1/8th club and the Toledo track which I'm a member of the One Eighth Racers. Can't get any luckier than that.

The surface sealer used at the Ontario track is the same sealer that the Toledo track uses and they will be using the same Ted Hammer traction additive. Should have great bite to race on.

There used to be parking lot racing clubs and permanent racing clubs. To my knowledge, Hamilton may be the first racing club to find this happy medium. It's still a parking lot but it sure is starting to look like a permanent facility. Looks sweet. That sealer seems to be pretty thick, are the pics showing one coat or two?

The track looks Great guys. Some body must have laid off the MOLson's for a while. It looks like you guys did a good job making the the sweeper and back stretch with wider lanes than the infield.

Be sure to spray the track on Friday evening before the race. It takes a little while for the Meth. to evaporate. Probably 15 gallons this weekend.

Looks good?!?!... I think it looks awsome!
Yeah I got the urge alright. Been dusting off the ol' MTX3 lately. I even made a couple of custom parts out of carbon fiber and painted a new Mazda 6 body. Kinda looks like I'm gettin' ready to race huh?! Know anyone who could babysit a temperamental 2 year old on the weekends?

Default Road Closure

A local road closure due to construction will affect access to the Ontario 1/8 On Road Racing Club commencing May 15, 2006. Dundurn St. from Main to Chatham will be closed for 4 months. This closure will affect all of those traveling on Highway 403 from Burlington, Toronto, Niagara and Guelph. Exit Main Street East as usual and turn right at the second traffic lights onto Locke St. Follow Locke south to the four way stop at Charlton St. and turn right. Follow Charlton west to Dundurn St. and turn right. Follow Dundurn north to Chatham St. and turn left. Frid St. is your first street on the right.

Those traveling on Highway 403 from Brantford/London will not be affected by this road closure provided you exit onto Frid St. from the Main Street East ramp.

My 960's all setup and ready to go. Picked up 100 litres of methanol and some caster oil earlier today. I don't expect that the weather will affect our racing plans.
