Last year the entry fee was $50CD/$45US. Allow me to discuss this with a few others to see what we can do.

FYI - The exchange rates are considerably different than they were a year ago.

Rick - The SRC parts transporter repair was quite cheap, a very pleasant surprise.

OK, how's about we subsidize the cost of high fuel, lose the T-Shirts and drop the entry fee to $40US/CD and $20US/CD? Add in Agnes for added value! Please refer to the updated entry forms.

Eli - I hope you like the Mickey D's kids meal.

Gary, Thanks for looking into it. If you look at the big picture comparing it to other big races in the same region, the price is on the high side. I fear people looking at the calendar of events and the economy not doing so hot, they may pick and choose their races. I wouldn't want anyone to steer away from one of the funniest races of the year!

Would you happen to have a estimated time when we would know? I like the ideas of the PayPal option. I would like to have everything taken care of before I leave.

Bill, the added attraction is good for those taken in the pics....but it's still fun to watch if your not!!!!!

Gary,

That sounds better to me. That is in more comparison of the other big events. Not sure how others feel, but I appreciate your effort to lower it.

Brian, the reduced entry fees have been confirmed. We don't wish to turn racers away due to high entry fees, that's for sure.

Gasoline up here is about $4.45CD per US Gallon and Diesel is about $4.75

Boys it's time to trade those 8 cylinder vehicles in for more efficient sixes and fours.

Gary,
I think you are doing the correct thing by lowering the price. I do believe the racers from out of town are coming for good competition on a fun track, and to have a good time with our friends up north. I thought I had heard that Agnus was paid very handsomely last year. While she is very attractive, I’d rather use the money saved on another set of tires. Besides, If someone wants there picture taken with some “eye candy”, I’m sure Eli would be more the happy to show a little skin with them.

Guys I've got the solution - skip the paid trophy girl and simply pass out maps to the local gentlemens clubs and we can select / pay for our own trophy girls

Solid Gold
53 Plains Road East
Burlington, ON L7T 2B8

Half way between the track and Motel 6.

FYI - The Can-Am Challenge/Gas Nationals entry fees do not go towards the compensation of our pretty trophy girl. All of our entry fees go towards maintenance/improvement/permanent facility funding.

Thers is another club further away called the Cannonball, I was only there once but it was very busy for good reasons, standing room only by the end of the night. I think its in Brampton close to airport.

Thank you Gary and all involved. I, along with others, I'm sure appreciate it very much. See you all in a few weeks.
