Once again I had tons of fun. MTX-4 felt dialed, just bad luck in the Main. But regardless, thanks to all the A-mainers and Pro guys who always always help us out whether or not we have questions. Your sponsors should know that yall rep them right. And thanks to my Pitman Chris for hustlin when I needed him most.

Ira, nice pix. You should've taken pix of Dan's feet thought.
Bobby, I like that Zoolander Magnum look. I don't know if you know this, but you have that same face when you're racing.

No worries Rod. I don't think any of the MWS groupies go to this site.
Nice pix, guys! Looks like everyone was getting their grub on.

Congratulations to all the winners in Chicago. Jason Conley 1/8th Open, Brian Berry 200mm and Mark Unger 1/0th Outlaw. It was a great weekend of racing. The little bit of rain we had was timed pretty well. It deleted a little practice time but we got all the races in. Don Jones and the Chicago club did an outstanding job on the track this year. If you missed this race you missed probably the best track they have ever laid down. It was open with a nice flowing driving line. The backstretch with the sweeper at the end made it feel like it was 300’ long. Don worked hard all weekend to keep the races running as smooth as possible. Aside from one little hiccup (with my car) the scoring system worked great. Brian should have the race report and current standing on the MWS web site shortly.

The year end awards are now being procured and they are looking very nice as they come together. In a couple of the classes it’s almost time to put the Champions name on them. But the rest of the classes and all of the top 10 positions are wide open which is going to make some exciting finishes for the next 2 events.

Please remember to help me out with the cookout (held on Saturday evening at the track) and pre-register for the Mentor race. Also remember to bring your drawing tickets from Racine. Drivers that pre-register for the Mentor race, and I hope it’s everyone, will again get twice the chances for door prizes. Door prizes will include “Team” sponsorships and 50% discount certificates from Delta Mfg. Nova Rossi motors Fusion Motor Sports, Tires from Calandra Racing, Racing apparel and equipment from Associated and Parma PSE and much more.

Hats off to the CRCC club, Don Jones, and anyone that stuck around for setup and tear down. To reiterate what Mark said, this was probably the best parking lot track race I have attended. The lot was resealed last fall and what a difference!! The track was easier on tires and th new layout provided excellent high speed and technical sections. Again congrats to the Chicago guys.

Also congrats to the winners, Jason Conley for 8th and Mark Unger (who was a 2X winner also taking the win in Masters points, MUST HAVE BEEN THE GOOD PITWORK....LOL).

I want to thank Bobby for some awesome racing! We both had are hearts racing in 2 of the 4 qualifiers as we were only 2-3 car lengths for the entire runs. Racing that close at those speeds for that long has given me even more respect to Bobby Flack as a driver, not that I didn't already think so....LOL

See everyone at the GLC or at Mentor......Mentor also has a new track with a smooth surface. Seems like the parking lot tracks are getting better in the Midwest. Who would of thought that would happen since we have these harsh winters.
