Why count the teeth..?? If you look closely at the pinion, you will see its number. I never used a gear caddy before, but I have the Serpent Pinion gear tool which I use for assembly. It seems to fit all RRR pinions perfectly. So everytime I need to know my pinion size and can't be bothered to find its size, i'd stick it in my pinion tool and go from there.

Here's a link if you're interested:

Good luck..

i tried lipo in mine and oil/fuel got into the pack and ruined it. Lipo can't stand the punishment of nitro cars. And plus you have to run a regulator to cut the voltage down to 6V.

if you want to lighten your car i wold suggest a 5 cell nimh AAA hump pack similar to the pack that comes in the G4S kit.
i had 2 other guys who changed to lipo when i did and all of them failed one after another.
now i use a pack just like yours

hope this helps...
