If i'm not mistaken, it you get the conversion kit you only get the basic stuff which makes it an EVO and not an EVO WCE, correct? Thanks in advance.

I was told by someone at Kyosho America that the EVO conversion kit was only made for a short time and it is no longer available... unless you find a place that still has one.

All hope is not lost. Just buy all the individual parts and create your own kit. $$$$

i think in the long run buying an evo works out cheaper as opposed to buying the conversion kit (or the parts to make a conversion kit as rmd suggested).
eventually the pulleys, belts, arms, hubs, bearings and ball ends are all going to have to be replaced.
so why not start off with a brand new car?

Perhaps for someone on a budget, spending $125-150 on Evo parts (and maybe not all of them) is cheaper than spending $450-$475 on a new Evo/Evo WCE.

Also our local hobby shop only had the Evo conversion kit for a short while then later on the V1RRR with Evo conversion kit. Only a few of these arrived and was then out of stock. As of now, only the Evo WCE kit is available. Only one of the local racers in our track was able to the V1RRR with Evo conversion kit

Robert ~ Isn't one shorter than the other? In the Evo manual (not Evo WCE), it shows short in the front, long in the rear.

Robert, the kit springs are 1.7 (hence part# ends with 17) are blue. The 1.6 are light blue and the 1.8 are dark blue.

Here are the EVO springs:
1.6 light blue .... 1.7 blue .... 1.8 dark blue. And that's the official way Kyosho named their springs too, I didn't make it up.

Hope this helps.
Dom
