I thought they addressed this when the part first came out and replaced it?!! Who/where did you buy your kit from??

Hey guys, I;m new to the nitro world, but I do have one question, what kind of body do you guys run?? I boought a couple of HPI bodies, even painted them to only to find out that it doesn't fit. It seems as if I needed to trim the bumper in order to fit the body, which I really don't want to do (in case I hit the walls since I'm new). Any suggestions???

If you're new, the Protoform/Proline Mazda 6 body is a good body to start with. As long as you bought 200mm sized HPI bodies, you should be okay. You will have to trim the bumper if the body doesn't fit. And don't worry about how much you trim away - just make sure that the body is positioned correctly. Although you might not think so, a few mm too foward or too far back does make a difference, depending on what type of tracks you run on.

with the mazda 6 ..

do you cut up the front wheels that are lined up on the body then measure the rear?

Thanks for your input, I bought HPI RX-8 and also the Saleen Mustang body because that's what I drive and thought it would be cool to have a "mini me". I'll go and see if I can find the Protoform Mazda 6 body tomorrow.

Thanks again!!

My personal preference, is to line up the front wheels so they are centered with the suggested wheel wells shown by the ident lines on the body - then measure the rear as you indicated.

I just trimed a body that is a few mm forward of where I normally position it, just to try it out again

I guess there would be no harm in filing it. Just make sure it's smooth when you're done. Here is what the Kawahara sway blade looks like for reference. Don't mind the broken piece.

thanks rmdhawaii, you are always the best hepler here. I am very excited to run my new RRR-EVo wce and would like to compare to my 4's. People says the RRR has more conering speed so i purchased the kit and want to feel the real difference. when assembling the kit, i found the RRR drive chain has less drag than 4's but the plastic part of 4 seems better than kyosho. thanks

Question for you EVO owners. Do you have the parts diagram or instructions for the EVO top deck? Or is it somewhere I can dowload? I am putting together the parts converting my top deck and want to make sure I have everthing correct. Thanks in advance.
