If you go with that comment - they're all a copy of the Impulse, which was based off the Impact, which was based off the Vector, which goes back to the BMTs, RC500s, etc. And on and on. HPI made the nitro touring car available for low cost fun and Serpent made a race car out of it. You can't compare any of them, I mean you can, but they all started somewhere.

All F1 cars look identical! (to me at least)

Anyway to keep on topic. The standing servo is the only main difference I see compared to the RRR. The build starts today so I will compare my car to the photos.

I kind of picture the RRR engineers buying a bunch of MTX-4s and racing each other around the track. It would be really, really funny if you can beat an MTX-4 just by standing up the servo and changing the shocks.

I will have a part-by-part comparision of the 3 cars at the Knowledge Base site once the instructions for the RRR EVO become available in english.

Yepp.... its similar layout like mtx4. Simple and elegant.

( I never like the laydown throttle servo in previous RRR because when somebody hit the side of the car, the servo horn + linkage could damage substantially, and end your race ).

correction VZW060 is a 4 stroke engine conversion kit for V1RRR.
kyosho never make a RR evo to RRR conversion kit.

I mis-read "conversion" that's what I get for thinking I know everything.

However, the RR had a conversion kit to RR Evo. So there should be one.

However, the RR had a conversion kit to RR Evo. So there should be one.

The RR evo and RRR are to cars of entirely different design. The rr evo doesn't have standard features the rrr has like , adjustabe rear suspension arm angle, easy to remove diffs, etc... The rr evo also has a different internal drive ratio, larger compared to the rrr. so if you want to convert your rr evo into a rrr, you be changing you entire car.

The RRR evo, however, is still based on the orignal rrr which means they just changed some parts. you can expect a conversion soon.

Cool

Nice looking car don't like the location of the reciever due to side impact.

On the Reflex NT and KV1 (and probably others) they have a fully enclosed receiver box. Why doesn't the RRR? They weigh very little, and fully protect an expensive little device, and make your race more reliable. Also, standing the servo back up seems to take it back to the RR evo for mine. Perhaps they already had it right?

I have seen many RRR WCE's beat MTX-4's without any changes. I personally don't think a stand-up servo is any better than a lay-down as far as performance goes. I had a stand-up in my 710 and the feel is no different. The linkage makes no difference but keeping the weight lower does.

It has to be a maintenance issue.

I have no trouble on maintainance of my G4S which is lay down servo, can anyone share their maintainance trouble of RRR?

I think Kyosho just want to make money

at RC-Mushroom, I saw a East upper deck for RRR which stand the throtal servo up, a friend of mine has it. it is no point to want for convertion, just buy that thing and you have your RRR-EVO or even RRR-WCE-EVO.

grrrr the name is getting longer and longer

When will they get a new name for new car? such as V-2 R/S, it sound like a rocket
