(3) Looks like they've got SPARX's steering servo mod on the upper deck! Way to go SPARX!!!
w00t! Im ahead of the Kyosho development team
Many 1/8 cars have the reciever hanging on the side (MRX4 for example) and i havent seen any of those cars (1/8TR can get pretty rough) get a smashed reciever. Although i like the configuration on the RRR more.

No good... Dislike the new throttle servo layout, would rather have my servo than my reciever in that position! Furthermore, like what Schrijver99 said, don't think it betters the WCE; comes with the WCE rear shock tower, but the front is the standard RRR part.

A MTX-4 like cover would make a lot of sense, now that you mention it! But I guess the Kyosho guys don't want to be copycats...

What's wrong with the lay-down servo? I think it works fine.

Nothing wrong with it, works perfectly fine. I LIKE the lay-down servo of the WCE, dislike the NEW layout of the EVO.

the RX is more fragile then the Sevo...if someone carelessly hit you on the Rx side....most likly the battery/ servo wire connection will be demage or even lose...

If they improve the material of the main shaft and pinion gears, its a good move...

Well, maybe we should wait and see how the car performs first before these "negative" comments???

Unless you are a Bertin, Cyrul, Toso, or top 20 at Nats, I doubt any of us here can truly feel the handling difference between a laydown throttle servo with the receiver on its top vs. a stand up servo with receiver on its side. Low CG of a laydown is good, but comes with a price of durability and maintenance. Imagine what you need to do to change throttle servo now and how easy it'll be to change the throttle servo on the EVO? A direct servo horn to control throttle and brake is always less potential for an extra linkage being popped out like on our WCE now. It'll certainly be interesting to see how's the feel and modulation on the brake when the servo is standup and directly connected.

And receiver getting t-boned? Just about every 1/8th and 200mm out there has the very same design. I don't think that's an issue. I've never experience myself or seen anyone had problem with the rx being on its side.

I'm sure this car is not a step backward from the WCE.

The RRR Evo article mentioned "To modify the part form above the rear bulkhead, selection of the upper arm pivot from the former 2 places in 5 places", but the pictures didn't show up, may be like this..

I've had somebody t-bone my RRR on the throttle servo. Cracked the case nice and ended the race for me.
