Have you guys tried the 3racing 2nd spurs or the Atomic RC spurs? Price seems to be alot lower than Kyosho's spurs. Any comments on these two brands?

Its not worth
take your time to adjust gear mesh and use steel pinion... spur gears should last forever. its all adjustment

Use the Kyosho gears. They don't strip unless there is another problem.

Default installing 2d clutch

hi guys
i just tried to install a 2d clutch to my picco red dot evo 3

when i tighten down the flywheel nut i cant get it tight enough and the crank shaft turns around in side the engine. should i have to shim the flywheel? this has never happened to me before.

thanks
John

Did you use the correct size flywheel cone? The picco's cones are smaller than novarossi. The 2D clutch only comes with a cone suitable for the novarossi.

Hi John,

Check that the flywheel collett isnt protrudeing through the flywheel. (collet could be too long)
You shouldnt have to put a washer behind the flywheel unless its touching the crankcase.

Cheers,
Chris

That guy is right. You do have to use the Picco collet, but it will stick through the flywheel. Use a dremel and grind it down so it doesn't protrude through the flywheel and you will be fine. I have had to do that with all mine.
