settings on gap will be the same as the 3d
spring tension should be set from .30-.50

If it was September 1999 it would be a great car!..

For club racing or racing up and down the street it would be ok - you'll find parts extremely hard to get.
  • hie all....i got a prob with front tire rubbing againts bottom shock ball joint...i have read previous thread tt some say you should put an O-ring behind the dog bones, but i read thru the manuals it didn't not show that an O-ring is needed, do you guys add an O-ring behind or just unscrew the 9mm pillow ball more ??
  • For wheels rubbing the shock balls.

I'm looking at two cars right now with the same thing. Parts on order.

    1. If your txmitter can do it, set the end travel limits or the steering
proportion so the wheels don't touch at full turn. (Move the suspension
full up and down when checking.)

Check the offset on the wheels. .... an unnamed buddy of mine put 30's
on the front a did a good number on his!

Its a perfect car to race against other Kyosho GP-10 spiders

  • Anyone had ever tried the UFO clutch type from k-factory?
Is it good as they say? Better than 2d or 3d kyosho clutch?

The front rim rubs up against the shock ball joint because of the steering throw adjustment. If you adjust your throw so that it goes as far left/right as possible without touching, it should be fine. Rotate your tires to make sure it doesn't touch, as the rim may not be perfect. Also check it if you switch tire brands on the same day. From my experience, it always rubs - unless you leave a fairly large gap between the rim and the ball joint. IMO, once you have a nice groove in your ball joint, it's not really an issue.

Don't like it very much as all of the K-Factory springs are way to soft not to crazy about purchasing an item & you would have to use different manaufactures springs to get it as close to performing up to kyosho's standard Im using the Kyosho 2d clutch more than the 3d
