Well,

I think the only complaint regarding diffs is the o-ring they seal with. It gradually leaks the diff grease.

I have used other seals, like the TM G4S diff seal, re-shimmed the gears to compensate for the extra space and from then on had no leaking.

Then you might be overfilling the diff. I never had a diff leak & never had a problem with the O ring seal shimmed or not shimmed but when I ran the old GE E Class I did have an issue with it but not with the old RRR & EVO Diff's

if you do slightly over fill the diff's you will get some leakage.

if you only fill them to bevel shaft level and you shouldnt have any problems.

i have both and i feel they are pretty equal, both radio trays come off without too much work so in that aspect they are the same! The VoneRRR has a bigger tray so once you get it off its an easier clean up but thats it.

I have limited arm strength so it's a major consideration. Thanks and keep the feedback coming please!

Get something similar to this and you won't have to use as much arm strength anywhere, they make every type of bit you can think of in a hex shank

OK, drove the car this past wknd and the car is a dream. Didn't get a chance to drive it much though, had some serious problems stripping the 2nd gear spur. Didn't last more than 3 laps w/o stripping the sprur. Now there are several RRR racers over hear and all were in awe of what was happening. We re-set the motor for proper mesh, checked the clutch, verified the one way, even changed the shift point to shift earlier( 3 1/4 turn out on the 2nd gear clutch) but couldn't find the freaking problem. I went through 4 2nd gear spurs each with less than 5 laps on them.

Has anyone else had this problem, what could it be? I loved the car, just wish I could have run it a little longer to get a feal for the car. I need to resolve this problem, any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Havy

I would check all your bearings along the pully shaft that the gears ride on. I had a smilliar problem on an MTX3 and it was that I had a bad bearing on that shaft. This would cause that shaft to spin out of round.

I don't think I've ever come across someone stripping that many gears on a RRR in one day. And to strip a gear on a new car? I might be mistaken, but that doesn't happen much either. Since you got help from other RRR racers at the track, it's even more puzzling. Not quite sure what to tell you. Maybe someone else has an idea.

Maybe you'll see something in this post. I wrote it back in April: http://www.nitrokb.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=55
