Default Failsafe + Spektrum Questions

Hello,
The radio I use is a Spektrum DX3. I recently bought an ofna failsafe and installed it on my car. I read the instructions on how to set it and I did. I tried it out by turning off my radio while the car was on. The throtle servo went into braking for about a second or so but then it goes to neutral. Is this whats supposed to happen? I thought it just went to brake and stayed there.

you need to set the failsafe when you bind the spektrum, take the ofna one off, whats happening is the spetrum failsafe is set a neutral and the ofna one is tring to go to the posi that you set it at and is confusing the spektrum

just use the spetrum failsafe and read the manual for it.
