rs43 2 speed
i just bought and installed a 2 speed tranny on my nrs4 3. is the smaller spur gear (43 tooth) supposed to be loose? mine is loose, but when i run the car with the wheels off the ground, it straightens out from the spinning force. this is my first time with a two speed and i just want to make sure its supposed to be like that before i run it on the ground. i put it together following the instructions closely.

anyone know if that gear should wobble freely? someones gotta know this??

wahturi;
Just adjust for minimum gear lash without binding and everything should be fine. The side to side slop that you are seeing is the norm for everything in HPI Cars. |
thanks pops. turns out i was missing a c clip. i got it on there and drove it today. 2 speeds are fun!!

Try not to run your car with the wheels not on the ground , think its bad :deathstar

the motor revs to high
if you want to make the car run even better put the larger 5.5mm dia. carb on the motor. i put an old traxxas carb off a tmaxx on my neighbors car and it really moves now. it now outruns the other neighbors assoc nitro tc3 rtr. |
The engine over-revs, which is really bad because the engine has no load.
