Default new budget engine for gpx4

i currently have the hyper12 p/start motor and its ok and all, but for racing its just 'ok'. i want to go into the pro class at my local track, so i need a bit more power. i'm guessing that it'll be needing a starter box too. whats a good motor that wont cost several limbs?
thanks.

os tz would be a great motor for about that price plus shipping, plenty of power and easier to tune than some

I second the O.S TZ as it is a reliable engine, realtively powerful and easy to tune. I imported the engine from Japan, cost round 200, then just got a Starter box from my lhs.

maybe you can try mega zx12
the price little bit expensive than os tz.. but i think it more long life time than os engine..
i already use the os TZ engine. n my engine life time only 2 times race...
about 1 gallon fuel..
n mega, i already use 2 more gallon fuel.. still good

After seeing the STS in action last night i would probably say they would be the go. As far as engine life goes i dont know but for the price of a replacement piston and liner it really wouldnt matter anyway.
