Default Need info on swapping Novarossi engine parts

The scenario is...

I have an RB X12T that flat out flies, but I get alot of leaking at the bottom of the engine. I've replaced the front engine bearing twice and still get excessive leaking. The engine is tuned fine and is borderline on being too lean for a long (30+ mins) main.

I also have a MT12 that needs a new piston and sleeve. Since I have new con-rod, I was wondering if I could just put the crank, piston and sleeve of the X12 into the MT12 and how much (if any) power loss should I expect. The MT12 was fast but the X12 is noticeably faster. Is it worth doing the swap?

The rod must stay with the respective block, everything else will directly interchange. The rod is longer in the MT and shorter in the X12. The MT will have more torque and rev less, Just gear up 1 or 2 teeth on the pinions and you will not notice the difference

be sure to get the rod on the right way and the x 12 piston is skirted (I forgot) it will go in the MT but the MT piston will hit the crank in the X12 unless you skirt it the same way with a dremel.

The oil hole faces the crank and the skirt faces the crank. be sure you get it together right.

What about the skirt on the crankcase backplate of the X12?
