MTX7 vs Capricorn C03
Hi, I've been running a C03 for a few years now and am looking to upgrade. I was thinking of upgrading to the MTX7. Please let me know if you would recommend the MTX7 or something else.

I'm also considering the serpent 750 evo.

From I’ve what I’ve learnt, upgrade to whatever is most supported at your local track. I currently run an Infinity IF15 and it is awesome! Infinity constantly come out with upgrades/option parts, there are regularly new videos being added by their team drivers to socials and it is well supported at my local track. So if this is an option I’d definitely go with the IF15.

I haven't considered the C04, is there a considerable difference between the C03 and the C04? I was interested to see what people thought of the 750 evo's rear suspension.

ever since i started to run a mtx3 from v1rr and impluse more than 20 years ago, then mugen's mtx4, mrx4,5,6,......i have never regretted. you will never find a brand that will only launch any unused/unnecessary options unless tested with real performance difference without or JUST cosmetic gain (from my opinion),......although i bought a if18-2 for my curiosity. mugen is still unbeatably reliable and reasonable.

Thank you! Do you think there is a noticeable difference in handling between the C03 vs the C04 or the MTX7?

Ran both the C03 and MTX7 a few years ago and preferred the Capricorn. When the C04 was released I got that and sold the Mugen. Can't say i gelled with C04, and probably still preferred my C03 to be honest. Not run tourer for a few years as numbers declined and changed to 1/8th scale pan car. If i had my time over again, I would have stuck with C03...

i think what is funny, is when someone asks for input between Brand A and Brand B, then someone jumps in with Brand X... which leads nothing to the conversation! Or am I wrong here?
To the OP, my biggest driver was parts support. At the time I could get Mugen parts more abundantly than Capricorn.

To the OP, the serpent 750 Evo was also a nice car. I had it though when I first started racing and I kept on braking rear arms and links on the rear active toe, mainly because I was in the grass at least once a run and they are not as thick rigid as the other brands standard arms.

Basically there are no bad cars, it is more up to you:
- can you setup a car to your wishes?
- can you get parts in a normal quick way?
- is the car and parts within the budget?
- are there more drivers with the same car? (easy for knowledge and quick needed parts)
