ROAR racers and track promoters. ROAR needs you!!!!

In 2007 the ROAR 1/8th Open on road Nationals should be on the Left side. Track owners and promotors please check to see if you would like to hoste this Major event and submit a bid before the end of May 2006.

Bids should be submitted to Mr. David Lee - ROAR Comp. Dir.

Preferably west of the Mountains.

Why not on the east coast, a new track has just opened in Maryland that is world class.

It has been set up by ROAR the last ten plus years, that we try to rotate national event sites. East, Middle, West and then back East, Middle, West and so on This has been going on since the early 90's and only works if enough Qualified bids are recieved in a timely manner. This is done to keep interest Nationally and not just in one section of the Country. By the same token, Usually a track or group that has not had a National event in a certain class moves up the list if compared to a track that has already hosted that event in the past. Qualified Tracks, bids and past history of successfully hosting larger events is a big plus.

2002 was Miami. East
For 2003 the 1/8th open was in TX. Middle
In 2004 the 1/8th was hosted by the RAMS group in CA. West
2005 1/8th open Nationals was hosted by the Kissimmee group in FL. East
2006 Open Nationals will be Hosted by the Cincy group. Middle
Following this and again if QUALIFIED bids are submitted by June 06 the 2007 1/8th Open National race should be West.

Of course the Ex com. has the final say.

NOTE: With the 1/10th Sedan Nationals being in CA this year 2006. Again the 1/10th Fuel Sedan Nats should be in the East for 2007. HINT, HINT.

Again, this only works if groups and tracks submit their qualified bids to David Lee - ROAR Comp. Dir. in a timely manner.

Just so you know, just because the request of this thread is for west coast tracks, does not mean that ANY qualified track, no matter where it is, can in fact still submit a bid....

You never know, if no tracks from the west coast place a bid, then ROAR needs to look at other possible venues....
