Quick update, site has been approved and working on firm price commitments from a paving vendor. As everyone knows, getting anything done right now is crazy difficult but we have tentative quotes that fall into the clubs and fairs parameters to move forward. We plan to stake off the area so we can get a committed bid next week. Paving could be down as soon as first of July, but as with all services "we will see". Hoping to find someone that can do some conceptual images we can post but still looking.

The new site is staked off and waiting for the asphalt. Here is a look at the future TSRCAR site. We can't wait for it to be finished and can lay down some laps with our friends.

They are being more than a little difficult. I think legal action is going to remedy our issues but as of yesterday they want to arrest me if I try to get our remaining stuff All that was left was the containers but we plan to get one large one to replace the 2 we had.

Oh wow. You guys move fast. I hope things work out. As an aside, we spent a lot of time and effort working on those containers. I hope you are successful in retrieving them. When you build it, I’ll have to drive over from DC to give it a go.

Almost two weeks since the last post about the track construction. Is there an update?

40 foot container for the drivers stand secured, delivery expected this week. 4 different asphalt contractors all had quotes expected last week and none delivered so far so we are following up with all to confirm price as expected. Pretty much every thing we need is sourced or on hand already, just awaiting the blacktop. Layout plan is 2002 and 2003 Joyce Park IFMAR Worlds layouts, switchable between the two. Hoping for an asphalt date this week. Year one we wont paint the design to allow the oils from the pavement to fade away but will line and have berms in place.

Im hoping to have a race in July! 40' container for drivers stand is secured, pavement work will only take 2 days just not sure when they can start yet. It wont be perfect this year but I see no reason we cannot be running the week following asphalt down. We wont paint the track until next year to let the oils from the asphalt dissipate, but we plan to berm and line this year.
