Call Sam. I was at his store last night and he has 5 kits left. Why don't you buy two save the extra one for parts.

First night out with my 720 tonight.

I went with the stock setup with gear diffs front and rear. Changed some setup to my likings but the car is box stock. I don't know how to say how happy I am with this car! (Doug, you are absolutely right )

First run the 2-speed was shifting too early so I went in 3/4 of a turn from what it says on the book and that was a very easy fix. From there I went with harder shore up front for tires because the car got a lot of steering. I broke my best lap time at our local track on the first run and then I broke my best overall time on the second run. First win for my snake .

Congratulations Jo, it is amazing that you set personal records in your first time out with the car! Man, you sure build fast

That's a very nice painted body, did you paint it yourself?

OK, now that the car is built it is time for you to get some sleep and dream about all the victories you are going to have with your 720

Hey Aldo,

What's going on? You build a MBX5T yet? Mugen covered everything and then some on that truck. It's a winner. I think you'll like it more than any other truggy you've ever owned. I'll send up the Serpent 720 screw kit tomorrow.

Best regards,

The paint? It's cheater sticker underneath a one-paint paintjob .

Thanks man. Now the problem is I can't sleep because I can't wait to race it again

Congrats Jo! Now you have to let us know how it compares to the MTX-4.

Is it more stable? Turns better? Better weight distribution? There must be some reason why you're that much faster with the 720. Inquiring minds want to know!

BTW.. Is that a Stratus body? What happen to the M???

The off-set on Serpent 710 and 720 wheels is zero.

The 720 is very easy to drive. It seems like it has a longer wheelbase which makes the car very stable. It's hard to find the best of both worlds as to having a lot of steering and being stable at the same time, but the 720 does it beautifully. I'll try some more changes like gearing since we race in a smaller track compared to the big track like Vegas. The car's drivetrain is very efficient and free with the stock bearings that came with the kit which should be why the car takes off and accelerates very fast.

This was all on the first run of the car. A little upgrade here and there and some more playing with setup and this car can only be better .
