Some more news about the new Serpent 7xx 200mm 1:10 nitro Touringcar, which will be published tomorrow on my website. The information comes directly from an insider of Serpent:

The final stage of the new project has been reached. A new 200 mm car, and everthing is being prepared for the official introduction. Maybe during the upcoming GP in Heemstede NL (Serpents'home circuit) 17 june the Team Serpent drivers will start with this new car.
The design of the car is simply beautiful: simple, competative, price and quality.

No upgrade from 710 to 7xx will be possible. The new car has a complete new geometry and a new platform. But still many of the now excisting 710 parts will be interchangeable with the new 7xx. This will make the step to the new 7xx car easier for the owners of a 710 because of the 'known' stock of spareparts.

Tomorrow more news on the 7xx on my website www.RC-Junkies.com

From what I've seen on the picture the only differences I can tell is the rear shock tower looks different and the rear shocks are more inclined. But don't understand why they still use the same receiver battery pack. I hope it better be at least 1400 mAmp.

Compare to the S710, the rear bulkhead looks a little bit CLOSER, like 960, that means longer rear lower arm, just like Mugen MTX4 or 960, and that is expected...
That chassis look very similar to S710....all the screw location seems the same, the whole layout might be very similar to S710 but probably a tad narrower and lower CG.

I heard from someone, the rear will be narrower, that is just a test chassis crafted from the existing S710 chassis...rumor said that.

1400 mah? Wow...... I Know that Sanyo has the AAA 1000mah available already and that's more than enough for 1 hour main event

Yeah. 1000mah AAA's are getting common now. I was using them since this time last year.

How can you tell only the rear end has changed, you haven't even seen the front yet!!!!.

And if you look close to the photo's you see atleast 5 different screw locations. Also at the front end.

But in the near future i'm going to take a closer look at the car.
I pass the circuit every day on the way from school so, i'm probably going to take a look.
