I don't agree. Serpent makes the wheels but others make the rubber (e.g. GRP). Serpent couldn't exactly throw in GRP tires, for example, because it would be an endorsement of GRP. That could happen at the distributor level but very rare at the manufacturer level.

Anyway, you can measure the car's track width using just the wheels so they're not exactly useless. That's what I do on my 960. To be honest though I would have preferred a transponder mount over the wheels. That just my 2 cents.

You could also use the wheels for tweak and so.
My car is gonna be in this friday, it's nice to live 15 min from the factory.

The video I just posted on 3hobby.net should show you exactly how it performs "out of the box" in a furious race. The 720 took 1st, 2nd, 3rd in its debut race in Europe during the recent EFRA GP race.

Assuming that you mean you want to win from them in a fair race then your spirit is right. A lot needs to go into the prep to win a race though including practise. I know that my driving has gone downhill in the last 8 months mainly because I've had so little track time. There was 6 x 720, 2 x 710, 1 x MTX4 and one RRR in the main final of the above race. While this was an outstanding result for Serpent, each of those drivers not only had great cars, they were also skillfull and spent a lot of time on their prep for the race, including the MTX4 and RRR drivers.

The 720 definitely appears to be the faster (Salven very nearly got 20 laps on this track) and better (it took top three easily) car. It will help you do better in races for sure.

to feed my excitement for the 720 , i always check the net for more new info and news about the car. anyways, looking through the parts listed on mytsn, i found these nylon spare parts set for front and rear. aside from being able to buy the parts separately, they are also available in sets.

nylon spare parts set FRONT (803156)...

nylon spare parts set REAR (803157)...

These sets are like mini crash kits focused on targeted areas. Less expensive that buying parts by each and yet not getting or doubling up on parts needed or not needed. An exceelent idea.

yeah i remember the spare parts set when it came out for the 710 although it didn't come out right away (i think the spare parts set was like after 6 to 8 months or so after the 710 kit came out). it was a very good deal for the 710.

it's very nice to know that the 720 already got the spare parts set covered right away. it is definitely a big plus!

The front two posts are the same. The mid post and rear posts are about 2-3 mm further back. You can use your old 710 bodies for practice.
