Default 720 Q's

Having being a previous owner of a S710 i love the look of the new S720, but i do have a few questions for you all.

When the 710 was first released, the arm from the steering servo was too long causing centring problems with steering is this likely to be a problem on the 720?

The clutch is also untouched, i had problems with the thrust bearings, i think most it was cause i am noob

The track i have mostly run on in the past is concrete so we ran on rubber tyres, any issues with this on the 720?

I look forward to all your feedback and in the mean time i will think up some more questions...hehehehehehe

Can you explain that in more detail? I know have any knowledge of this problem

Sorry, n00b!
Make sure you don't have a lot of endplay in the clutch... my s710 is 2 years old and i've used 2 thrust bearings.. one broke because i cleaned it and i sprayed on of the balls out...

You will have to find a good setup for that, but why wouldn't that work?

Steering Link:
It was to do with the length of the steering link arm being too long, it was a mod InitialD did right in the early days of the 710...

Clutch:
I got the 710 right at the start, but because of the problems i experienced with it i didn't stick with it. I currently do not have a tourer, but am keen to get something to have a play with again.

Still keen for feedback, serpent have always seem to have good support on rctech

Ahh, that.. it had to do with the sanwa servo? Well.. that should be fixed.. if it's not then just apply the mod? :P
Sometimes you just have to mod stuff.. it's impossible to build a car that always works with all the electrical hardware...

Heh,

If you look at the 'new' (writen by hand, whom?) on http://www.serpent.com/
And then check the rear-carbon brace behind the motor.. the 'N' ?
Hmm, secret signature?

May be Serpent spend the past 2.5 years JUST for that feature/signature..? I would never spot that.....wow.
