I have a 720 rolling chasis and Serpent 720 starter box for sale if anyone is interested. Tons of spare parts, spare chasis included. $350 takes it all.

I ment to ad that I am allready using the long shaft and body, the top of the shock nut hits the shock tower and keeps the shock from comming in far enough to bolt up, I more than enough length.

so what has changed ? your talking about the top nut retainer that holds the plastic insert for the attatchment to shock tower ?
if you have only changed the lower arms, then the angle must be changed quite alot for it to not bolt up top ? i was looking at this for my 720 i still have, so id be keen to know why its not bolting up. maybe a pic ?

Default 720

I am a big fan of serpent cars, however i am having trouble setting my 720 for the track as no one locally is driving that car anymore. other track mates encourage me to change to NT1, even the 733 are very limited here and their setting would be different from the 720 too. Can someone from Serpent help me. the track here is smooth, medium traction and very small. alot of hair pin turns one chicane and 2 small right hand sweepers in between is a long straight less about 50 meters long. i am jus following the standard setup, but the car is still far from those other brands. pleasee help if you can... serpent forever.

I recommend using DJ's setup posted at this link. Should be a really good baseline setup. Since the track is relatively tight, one change you may want to try a diff in the front with 100k. Other then that slight tweaks should get you where you want to be!

The stock settings isn't all that good. DJ's setup should br a good staring point. Just make small changes at a time, sometimes just changing tire shores makes a huge difference.

I love my 720
