new version is in work...09 is the most current. i just got a 09 from a member here and its the best car i've ever raced. i'm sure the new one will be great too, cant lose ether way.
Wow you don't even need that $450 motor you would be just as competitive with just the O.S. tz which is almost half the price

All I can say is I am impressed with XZ engine. I dont know if its true but at BumodGP, after the final we talked to Surikarn and he said that he "bought" that engine, not a factory special or something. I knew that he is sponsored by Maxpower but he chosed XZ for the final.

I am been racing electric the last 2 or so years and have not been in the nitro motor loop for a bit..

Thanks..
Futaba servos are very good, just switched from KO after serveral yrs. and I'm very impressed with the Futabas.

the 720 drivetrain is very free, maybe the best drive on the market so it does not need a lot of power. Get yourself a Red Dot like suggested and you will be just fine.

no you dont need...ok yes I do MORE IS ALL YOU NEED
i havnt raced it yet still putting tanks though it and waiting to run at our bigger track, i started with a TG then moved up to a TZ 3. with the TZ if i do keep up most of the track i get walked on the long straghts. i like the smaller OS motors. they seem more realiable. i've had one novarossi and really liked it but i had trouble with it staying tuned at times. but thank you with your concern with my spending habbits.

guys i need ur help. I have a 720 and this is the problem. When u accelerate in straight line the smallest turn on the steering either intentional or not the car spins around uncontrollably. When exiting a turn its the same problem. Even when trying to fight it the engine rpm totally drops off like the engine is under heavy load. All it takes is one race day at the track which is about three races 12 laps each and the rear tires are totally eaten up. Any suggestions? I have this problem on going for two weeks. So any suggestion i will reply thanks!

Spur check a few things out first check if the body is rubbing on the front tires when you steer the car. Next lower the expotental on you radio if its on the positive side that's too much go down to -10. Then check the speed on the radio you might need to lower it too. Now the tire wear issue if your using the stock 30,000 oil then try a harder shore tire like a 42 and maybe try 20,000 wt diff oil. Also the surface may have a lot to do with the wear.

Sounds like something's binding. You might also want to check F/R track width.

Ok its not the body because it happens without the body. The radio is turned down. I have 13degrees of throw on the hudy. Im using the 30K oil and the front is solid. 40 shore tires in the rear. Traction is a carpark thats prepared. I would say low to medium. No other car has tyre wear like this or traction problems.

At first i wasnt getting enough droop with the stock dog bones. I changed it to cvds and problem fixed. The back left bone was binding a little too. But was changed to a new one and there is no binding at all. I even rotated them to be sure. The front track width is the same as my working car. 196mm front and 200mm rear.

I spoke to DJ today. Told him everything i could. He said it could be the car is rear wheel drive only. So i prob have a slipping side or front belt. It does look kinda white in color for new belt. Im gonna double check this and tighten the tension even more. The engine is a JL Red Dot tuned with 2607 pipe. Clutch gap is 0.6 and spring tension is more than 1.5mm. Gold spring.

dont forget this simpile over look. check you pully set screws and use good! loctite. it sounds like your car is RWD only... you can point and shot down the straight way but when you hit the brakes or turn...spin out.(had this happen, makes driving fun)
