Yeah Dan that's what I want eventually saving up for it, so I figure I can use this for now...

i have just bought the new serpent fuel tank for my 720 SER803216 but the tank
has serious leakage problems. The leakage comes from the lid. The o-ring
does not seem to be cut or anything else. If i apply some force to the lid,
leakage seems to stop...

Hello George,
Do you intend to come to Patra FTR2 next weekend for the 2nd national race? If yes, we can see what is going on with your tank there.

The o-ring needs to be formed a bit to the shape of the tank.
Put a rubber band around the lid and the tank for sometime (24 hours minimum).

This is what serpent says to cure the problem.

I read this problem and find it strange because i wanted to upgrade to this tank. But the solution serpent said makes sense.

I finally found the problem with the tank. The problem is with the tank body.

Specifically, the holes opened for the pin holding the lid. On the left side, the hole is way too big
causing the pin to move up and down. Actually, it seems they made a mistake
and opened a new hole right next to the other.

This causes the whole lid to move up and down (from the one hole to the other) on the left side
and consequently the lid does not seat properly to the tank if you dont manually push the pin in.

A brand-new useless tank?

Please returned to the Hobby shop where you bought it, that they should take care of that.
