Just a reminder that the lola lower bumper is not a drop-in-perfect part for the 720. You will need to be a little creative to retrofit the 720s upper and foam bumper.

Once you get it done though, you can forget about the bumper and it will save you a whole lot on parts for frontal crashes.

The 803166 is the correct part number for the 720 LM type bumper, this bumper is made for the 720, unlike the 802209 which is an original part for the 710, so the fit shouldn't be a problem.

That's right (thanks for the update it's only been about a year since the last time I raced onroad ). Although you will still have to be a little creative trimming the plastic to be right on or a hair off the sedan body. That way it follows the contour of the actual lexan.

Hello all,
I set my 720'09 with the DJ's starting setup and I visited the local track for some practice. The grip was extremely low, because the track was very dusty. However, the car was consistent and predictable. I suffered from on power oversteer, which could be easily controlled if you compromised with a little lower lap times.
Could I have you feedback/answers to the following:
I did not install the extra 30grams in the front bumper and I used the plastic battery holder instead of the brass one mentioned by DJ in the setup. Do you consider those as big changes and how they will affect the car handling?
The proposed tire diameters 60.5/59 are intended for a 30min final? What is the lower limit for the tires diameter at the end of the final and what is the lower limit for their difference rear/front?
I used a Picco EVO3 engine and I had my clutch with the default fly weights, 31mm fly wheel, yellow shoe, 0.6mm gap, 0.1 end play and 1.5 spring preload. When the grip is there I use 0.7 gap and 1.6-1.7 spring preload. I don't have a complain with this set up but would you recommend something different?
Hypothetically, if I had to race with this low grip condition and I had to improve the on power oversteer on the corner exit, what should be my first change?
I had my dual rate set to 75%. Is it in the expected range for this setup?
Does the front solid axle use cause any king of premature wear on certain parts like front cvds or belts or anything else?

Thanks in advance
Dimitris

You could try the same setup with a front diff with 100k wt oil or higher. Also what springs are you using front and rear. Those tire sizes could be qualifing size.
