Since you've driven a nitro car before (Impulse) then you must be a decent driver. In this case, I would say get the steel pinions ... they last longer and also do not wear the spurs much.

Must have options? Is your 720 the original one or the 08 one?

What do you mean as in "body designed for lola bodies"?

Here is my 720 with a loletta body. There's even a video of it in action on 3hobby.net!

Default 200mm Body

I have the new Civic body coming for my Serpent. How do you know exactly where to drill the holes for the posts? And to get it aligned properly?

there is dimples in the body where the body post go. line up the front and do them first. the rear you may have to put the hole where it needs to be as the rear dimples do not line up. make sure you double check the front because there is two sets of dimples, one for the 720 and one for something else.

I personally line up the front wheels and fit it like that. I do not use the holes. They may match up, but I am not sure.

Default Good Starter Box

Right now I have a LRP 37100 Starter box, but doesn't seem to work with my 720. Any suggestions?

I meant to say bumper for a lola body,I could have swore I saw one on the serpent site.A big flat tough looking bumper, ill research and see if I am right. When I had the Impulse,I had a 235 and that bumper was designed ofcourse for a lola and that thing was so tough I bet whoever has it stills running it.Sow and Steady, hit the nail right on the head about broken parts,my MTX3 is old as dirt but I have never replaced anything but left knuckles, bust them on sweepers sometimes. It sounds like I dont need anything, car already has the cool chassis with carbon insert, hollow 2 spd shaft, lightweight clutch bell, aluminun sway bar mounts, one piece motor mount, tit. turnbuckles, does that make this a 08 spec,Sow an Steady? Thanks everybody for the input, will post pics of car in current condition, and pics of it as rebuild goes on.

This starter box will start the 720 without a problem, I have the same starter box.

Yes, yours sound like the 08 kit.

I'm using the standard lola bumper made for the 720 and its a tough one. The weakest lola bumber I've used was the one made for the MTX-3. The one made for the 705 was also quite flexible so those days I used to use the Impact one.

I had the same starter box for my 720 at one point (except it was an OFNA which was the same exact thing just different logos ).

Anyway, if you have it like pictured you will have to change the configuration of the wheel which is setup for an offroad buggy right now. You need to put the wheel on the other slot, play with the pegs/stoppers and you should be ok.
