Well this weekend we ran the US open and my car was great. I must have had one of the fastest cars on the track. The 720 was the fast car of the event. Paolo and I had very good cars and people took notice. I ran my basic set-up and made only a few changes. Some minor camber and caster changes and the rest was great. I built a new car/kit and did not know what to expect. But within 3 tanks my car was on pace to be the fastest for the weekend. I would like to thank Paolo and all the Serpent crew for the hard work we have been doing. I feel we work well as a team when we get to the tracks and push each other to perform. I hope I was able to help all the serpent drivers at the event that needed it and look foward to the next event. I think my next race is june at the 301 race, so till then.

Congrat Paolo and DJ....nice showing. If possible, can you guys share the setting @ Open Nat? I am gathering some setup that is similar to the LHR and will start testing setups before the Byron race...

DJ and Paolo....after the 301, you guys are coming to Byron race....you know that is going to happen....(right?)

P.S...are you guys using the new front steering block for 720? Are the Civic body ready to ship @ Serpent USA? I need to gather a list including the Xceed Lipo and will phone Serpent USA to place order...thanks.

I don't believe the Serpent body is out yet. The best body to us at the present time is the Blitz Altis 2.3. Works great on the 720's as well as the other cars as proven is the worlds warmup. I love my 720 and I know the body helps, but unfortunately when you get older as I am, I do admit, I keep needing more and more help!!!

Solara: DJ as always give really good support on this thread, so i am sure he will post his setup soon. I will do the same. About the Byron Race, not decided yet but therte is a really good chance we go. We use the new steering blocks. I personally like the "0" deg better. Al lthe xceed stuff is in stock. The bodies with the embossed number are on the way. Maybe this Friday are ready to ship. I Open another thread for this body.

TM America: How are yoyu sir? You are rigth, Body is not out yet. DJ run the Altis at the WNats and he was really pleased. There are many products out there at the moment that work great. Is about giving more choices to the consumers and expanding the line of products

front

1 hole piston 35 wt oil with new blue springs layed down
front sway bar soft (I did not use it at this race)
roll center pins in upper position
0 droop
37 front tires 58mm
30 grams of weight in bumper
2mm caster in front of arms
1.75 camber
-1 toe

rear

2 hole piston 35 wt oil with new orange springs 3rd hole up from bottom
2.3 sway bar soft and on the inner position on the arms
#3 roll center postion from the bottom
4 droop
40 and 42 rears (depending on traction) 59.5mm
3 camber camber link at its shortest and most angle
+2 toe

What new steering blocks are you talking about. We only have the ones that come in the 08 kit, I use the 0 degree. Serpent does not have any others that I know about. I am still talking to Paolo about the chicago race. Not sure if the civic body is ready for ship yet, but man if you like a lot of stable steering this body is great.

Hope this helps and if I missed anything just ask.

Regards,

DJ Apolaro

Default weight up front

Hi DJ, Gianni,
was wondering does it make alot off difference between adding weight inside the bumper and using the chassis brass??
i have tried using the chassis brass, it help on traction roll but rob abit of steering...
how do u mount the front weight?? double side tape?? any pic on the added weight would be nice... thanks in advance

cheers,
ck lee
