Hi,

At JP I'd suggest Red 27mm springs at the rear and Pink 24mm springs in front.

As a range I think you'd need Red Pink Blue and purple front springs (24mm)
and Red pink and blue 27mm for the rear.
That should give most options you need.

Have fun at JP!

is it worth getting the cvd's? is this the right part # for cvd's for the 720 '08 front/back, CV-axles set (#802350)?

what type of receiver pack do most of you guys run, aaa or lipo?

do you use the brass battery tray?

are there any upgrades you guys make straight out of the box?

not really, serpent cvd`s r really weak, u can ask anyone on this tread they will tell you, they break in a heart beat, xceed makes a lipo 4 the 720, a excellent buy if you ask me!!!!! your probably asking where could i buy it? rc mushroon sells it, 4 a good price, i can attest to it, i bought a few off them allready.

If you don't have the CVD, get it.(just for front axle)
as far as part being weak, let's put it this way, if you have a hard impact around the front wheel area, any R/C car you drive will break.

I found the 3racing cvd equivalent even worse

In recent times the CVD's have been significantly strengthened. Although not unbrakeable, I have yet to brake the newer ones.

Yes julius i know what u mean and i have the utmost respect whatever u say, but i have the 720+ nt1, in my humble opinion, the cvds on the nt1 r 10 times better than that on the serpent, ps no flaming please i love both cars EQUALLY, but serpent really have to up d ante with there cvds, thats the only thing about the car that i personally HATE, and trust me i love the hell out of the car

The CVDs were updated last year but the part number stayed the same. If you haven't tried the new ones, I suggest you do and you will find it very strong.

Isn't that the truth. They are priced out of this world. I think its cheaper for most xray drivers to buy another kit for parts than the parts themselves!! The Serpent CVD'S are a lot better. Much stronger now than the previous version!! Also by all means stay away from the three racing ones!!
