Razzor is correct, if you race to IFMAR/EFRA rules, or even local rules based on the these governing bodies, there is a limit for the over-hang as well as the height of the spoiler (has to be level or below the roofline).

Default Missing '07 parts....

Already emailed the hobby shop and have an answer from serpent Europe.
They send the missing parts for my home place

Is it possible to identify the hardened plastic material and the new ruber o-ring in the fuel tank??? My fuel tank has a Black rubber o-ring and i think it is the '07 Version... I think the rest of the kit parts are the '07 and they arleady are aware of the parts missing.

When the rear spoiler is mounted further away from the front of the car (as far back as possible) = the most amount of rear downforce? When the rear spoiler is mounted closer to the front of the car = least amount of rear down force?

The above is true for long sweeping corners. Does the above hold for quick tight corners (90 and 180 degree) type corners?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. Yes, you right, there is only a 10mm overhang allowed. Will try it out and see if it makes a difference.

Hi guys:

I have been using the serpent bearing oil for almost a year and I notice that on every place I drop the oil the part is rusty. I used it alot on the centax internal bearings and the engine shaft became so rusty that the bearing does not come apart (it is glued on the shaft). For the record, I only use a pincel and the serpent puffy for cleaning (nothing else). Is it caused by the oil?. I noticed that the oil became a little dark, and my friend said it is because the sun exposure on the track (it is really hot down here)

regards

Eduardo

How is the warranty support from serpent on these cars. Give me a run down , lets say from the box I have a bad part or was using the car and something was acting abnormal.

What kinda hoops do you have to go through?

There were a number of people who had issues with the rear lower arms with the first batch of kits and I was one of those people. Informed Serpent USA and the free replacement showed up within four days. A fellow local racer bought a kit about a month ago. He must have gotten one of the first batch of kits (maybe an old stock from the hobby shop). Anyways, rear arm issues the first time he ran it. He also stripped a couple of the shock retaining plastics while he was building the kit. He called Serpent USA and they sent him free replacements package.

I had the same with the rear arms and retaining plastics from the shocks send an E-mail to Serpent-USA and a week later I had the replacement.

I bought the two kits from a Miami Dealer but I live in Panama and I was taken care of by Serpent USA.

I too had a problem with the rear arms when the kit first came out. I emailed Doug at Serpent USA and was shipped a couple replacement parts days later. Kudos on responding to customer's needs.

Hi

I have the same problem with the clutch bearing. Didn't think of the bearing lube

But, you are right, that is the only lube I use and i have the problems you describe. I will change to another lube and see if it makes a difference.

I also had problems when I got my kit - rear lower arms etc... and all I can say is, Serpent is a company thats stands by their customers - definitely - replacement parts in a flash

Just go through the thread and see the issues that some guys had and look at teh replies that Serpent posted... very few companies out there that provide such good service...

Hope this helps

Serpent does not make an army of products...Customer service is paramount to them....and it shows in everything they do.......Do yourself a favor...get rid of that (WE NEED THE ID,reciept from an authorized dealer, notarised, serial numbered, not ordered from overseas,USA kits only...and thats for a 99 cent part)....MUGEN....and buy the serpent 720..........

and I'll tell you something else......you will never hear from serpent that they are busy making other kits, and THATS why there are no parts or kits for something you need......And thats the problem with alot of other companys these days(esp the new flavor of the month car....)

now...does that cover it OR WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
