Default 16T Steel Pinion

I have a hard time off getting this 16T steel pinion match properly. Its good to have a steel pinion but the size is way too small for this. I have to slant the engine lot to get both 1 & 2nd gear touching right. this way looks too ugly!!

runing 59T / 55T with 22T pinion

you shouldnt have to use a 16T any where. try a different gear combo such as 17/60 22/55.this is what i run. the 60T spur will make of for the 16T acceleration.

I run 59/17 most of the time. I prefer 59 because the matching looks better then 60 and 61 from my pass experience.

I would think this problem can be solve if serpent produce the 52/53/54 spear for 2nd speed.

Are you referring to a 710 GEARING OR 720?
Your signature makes things confusing.

The diameters of all gears are very close, so setting equal mesh should not be an issue.
But as we acknowledge the 16t gear causes lots of people problems we changed the internal ratio in the 720 to make sure you'd not need it anymore.

For me I run my MF (nova based) with 17/60 and my Mega ZX with 17/59.
Any shorter than that creates only wheelspin! The rest is in the clutch.

Default Oil dampenin

Julius
Just a few questions
How do you go about choosing your dampening package for a particular track?
do you choose the springs first, oil wt then pistons?

The RCC shocks, how much rebound do you build them with?

Finally what is the objective to have the hardest spring/oil wt and soft tires
or hardest tires and softest suspension?

Thanks

Default Rear lower arm

Would the rear lower arm of 720 fits 710?

I bought the 16T steel pinion tought if this part will last longer then a aluminium pinion. If I put it in 710 or 720 i have to slant the engine a lot which you can see from the top view (plan view).

But if I use the 16T aluminium pinion. it looks ok. I guess maybe not many people use 16T therefore no one notice this problem.

If you take a close look of the steel and aluminium version, the 16T steel version has a smaller diameter... please take one and try ... then you will know what i mean...

thanks for your response..

I used the 16T pinion with an Orion CRF motor to get some better bottom end from it.

Pulley for the 3rd one way.
The standard part is 808229 however at a recent race meeting i had to replace it due to damage and the only 24T pulley i could get that fitted was this 9213. The 9213 is lightly wider and you can not fit the cover on the other side of the pulley and still get the circlip on, however the cover is also not needed.

i believe the 802344 isnt for the 3rd One-way but is actually 808229.
