4 weeks until the 1st MWS race in Toledo. I just received the awards for it. I've also received some bottles of LG2 Liquid Gravity from our sponsor Paul Lemieux at Gravity RC. The MWS sold this last year for $10.00 a bottle. But this year I'll drop the price to $8.00. The proceeds from the sales go towards the cost of operating the MWS to buy awards, LiveRC monthly fees and such. So please buy it for the MWS.
I'm also going to drop the racer entry fee from $35.00 to $30.00 like it used to be. The more money I can save for the racers the better. We spend enough just on everything else for a weekend of racing.

Thanks for all your efforts! I'm looking forward to Race #1! This weekend the forecast washed out the plans for tomorrows practice. Their is another Club Race next weekend and I will see if the Toledo Club..(Ted) will have a Saturday practice for all you hard working racers to shake the rust off and to make sure you put your cars back together correctly.

I talked to Ted, this coming weekend the track will be prepped and ready on Saturday at Noon. The Club Race will be Sunday. As of now, the weather looks favorable. I hope to see many racers with Spring Fever making noise!

Very sad news to report, the Oneeighthracers are losing our track , this weekends Midwest series race will be our last here. The track will be sprayed and ready for practice by 12 noon. If you want to run some laps this is your last chance. A big thank you to all the racers past and present who have supported us.

This VERY SAD news was announced today. This is your last chance to race at the historic Oneeighthracers track in Toledo. I hope to see you there.

The 1st MWS race was ran last weekend in Toledo. The last race ever to be run on that beautiful track. There were some really good races in the mains. The Sedan A main had David Dunn inching out Bobby Flack by 1.5 seconds for the win. The 1/8th scale A main was really entertaining with Max Kunning holding on for the win over Raph Burch. Ted Hammer had a spectacular run going only to have one of his wheels fall off with a freak part failure while leading with about 18 laps to go. If you didn't make it to this, you missed a good time. We even had the ghost of Don Jones car running in the 1/8th C main. It was being driven by Dennis Young, and he showed what he could do with a well prepared car! Don, I hope you were watching. I've attached the points that were timely calculated by Mike McBride. Thanks Mike. I took pictures of all the winners and TQ's. They will probably be posted on that social media thing, Facebook. I'll be sending them to Nick whose one of those Facebookers.
Some of us, anyone of you who would like to go, can join us at the Big Dog track on June 19th for a practice race with hopes make it a MWS race in July. As soon as we have more information for June 19th It will be posted here.
You can view the race results on LiveRC under the One Eighth Races track.
Hope to see as many as I can in some upcoming races!

This Facebooker appreciates you and Mike tallying points and getting the Race Report together so fast! I'm still optimistic that one of the tracks will be up and running before the end of the season. In the meantime, traveling to the few tracks we have left is the only option. We just have to make the best of it. Hopefully, we'll have a MWS event at BD Racing in July. Cya then...

Default MWS Toledo

notgreat weekend in Toledo! It was an honor to drive the "Whomobile" and more than a little odd to not have Don yell at me for my clutch sucking! Cincinnati should have updates on our status this week and hopefully Toledo can get something together in the future.

It was very strange to hear Dons name getting counted... I think you might have had some "rust" from not running Scale in a while! Hope your meeting with the Fair people works out! It's always great hanging out with You and Rene!

For those interested in coming to Big Dog RC for the “practice race” on June 19:

Track opens at 10, racing starts at 1. Typically 2 quals and a main.

Track address is:
428 Stoneboro Lateral Rd
Stoneboro Pa, 16153

Lastly, if you want to stay overnight, Mercer County is running a special. Stay in one of the participating hotels, and you can get free money to spend at stores, restaurants, and even the track hobby shop!
The closest hotels are located in Grove City, PA next to the outlet mall.

Many thanks to the racers that went to Big Dog RC in Stoneboro PA last Saturday. I believe there were 15 people who made the trip. Open practice for a couple of hours then 1 round before the rain came. The track was real smooth and traction was great. Wallo made the trip from NY with his son and set a track record. It was fun to race on a track where the long straightaway goes right past the drivers stand. A special thanks to Mike McBride for working with owner to make changes to accommodate our gas cars.

We are going to schedule a MWS race there for the weekend of July 17th. In order for that to happen we will need to have at least 30 racers to commit to going. So please pass the word around. Either call or text your racing buddies. Have them post their name here on RC Tech as the official place where we can get a total count. It’s only 4 weeks away. So we’ll need to know as soon as possible

I anyone needs more information please PM me on RCTech
