Default running too rich or running to lean

how do you know if your running to rich or running to lean will the glow plugs turn a difftrent color? and how do u tune the low end ajustment screw? keep the thread goin

Too rich and the plug will be wet and sooty. Too lean and it will turn whitish.

Also pay attention to the smoke coming out of the exhaust...if there is no smoke at full throttle, it's too lean...if there is an excessive amount of smoke, fuel, and soot coming out, it's too rich.

I'm 3700 feet above sea level and am using Sidewinder Race 30/12. It will leave a faint trail of smoke...but nothing like a fuel with castor at a lower altitude. Don't use castor oils up here...gums up the motors.

bumm off street...the fuel you use and altitude you live in will also determine your proper tuning.

Yeah, applies to me at being pretty much at sea level, if not, 5 feet above it. lol
