slide carb for rx.18?

Is there any available slide carbs that would fit the yokomo rx.18 engine?

Slide carb for Yok .18

Rccraze;

I have never owned that engine, but I would say yes. Most of the small block engines made today have one of 2 different bore sizes in the crankcase where the Carb mounts.
Problem is you will spend at least $60 to buy that slide carb brand new and if I'm correct, that Yokomo .18 engine has an ABN sleeve (Nickle plated) which means it will wear out quite quickly. Better to save your money for a new engine down the road. Then you can get one that already comes with a slide carb.

RX 18

I have owned one of these engines i thought it was not as good.
Especially when it came down to needing a new piston & liner i had to wait for 2mnths.
I was also going to purchase a slidi carb but did not know if they did one.
But my local shop told me i would be able to use a slide carb from a 15 engine as the engine is scaled to the same.
but it would of cost me like £50 when i only paid £100 for the engine.
so i just gave up on it. But it was a quick little piece of kit i then purchased a HB18 this was alot cheaper found that the peformance was alot better & the Parts was cheaper too.
Your best bet is just use it like it is now cos you can spend alot of money on a stupid little engine when you can something alot better for your money
