Well I got say I'm actually excided for this years Biggie. If you haven't signed up yet, or if you’re still debating whether or not to come, get off the couch and LETS RUMBLE! Bob Ingersol made some minor improvements earlier this week and the track is in excellent condition, maybe the best it’s ever been. Add to that, the weather forecast is the most promising we've had in several years. I just can't help but believe this will be one heck of a good race.

I haven't run a touring car since last year's nats. I basically dug the car out of storage, blew the dust off the ol' MTX-3, put 42s all the way around and threw it down on the track and had a blast (well, kinda anyway...after I fixed everything that was coming loose, LOL!). I think if you ask anyone who was there today, they will second accolades.

The bottom line is there are Texas Biggie A main trophies, not to mention some really nice prizes from some very generous sponsors, literally up for grabs…and one of ‘um might have your name on it.

Come on out, you'll be glad you did!

Just want to say thanks to all the guys at RCRCNT for the excellent track . I was there all day today and it was near perfect. I know alot of people have put alot of time into this track to get it this way . Anyone who takes the time to go there and drive on it they will agree . The touring cars had grip 10 minutes after Terry (not Prather) was done spraying. I was able to run a normal setup for once .YEAH. Anyway just thought I would say thanks , well worth the $40 in gas and the 6 hours of drive time.

What did they do to fix the track? It was crap crap crap last year at the Nats. I'm not saying I coulda made the show, but the track was so bad the AE drivers should've packed up and spent the weekend at the shake joint...lmao

BigDogRacing, the short answer is we re-worked the track surface to make it smoother and then applied a sealer with sand suspended in. The end result is a much smoother track with good traction. Obviously tire wear went up, but even touring cars made the forty minute main at the last series race without a tire change, so its not totally outrageous. Come down and race with us sometime and see for yourself, you wont be disappointed.

BTW, its not to late for the Biggie. There are no late fees this year. Also, the RC Pro Series is coming in July and of course, the Southwest Championship Series is hosted here on a regular basis.

Thanks Ron!
Glad you enjoyed it! I'll see if I can go out early this Friday
to help with the track prep / Spray! I think the ratio of
Powdered Sugar to Water that Bob Ingersoll came up with
(10# to 15 gal) made a huge difference as well as the Sealer
he put down in those needed areas earlier last week.

See you this Friday!

Terry (BROWN) ..... ha ha ha!

They are not the Western Conference champs just yet, buddy. Slow your roll a bit. If they beat the Suns, then you can proclaim them Western Conference champs. They only won the semi-finals to get to the finals of the conference. Also, they haven't won squat just yet so tap the brakes on that one as well.

If they are going to win the NBA championship, they better do it this year. It may be difficult to go for it the next few years with the Lakers, Clippers, and Spurs gunning for them with Denver, and possibly Utah, New Orleans, and Memphis lurking in the background and could knock someone off. Oh, and lets not forget Houston could be back in the mix next year as well.

I only hate because the Suns came back and eliminated the Lakers in round one (I am a die-hard Lakers fan despite Kobe). Both LA teams showed the current weakness of the Suns but did not exploit it to the full potential to dispatch them. However, because of Mark Cuban's constant , I hope the Suns slam the door on the Mavericks NBA finals hopes. Go Suns!!!!!
