Maybe you RC-girls that have written in this thread might have tips how to invite girls into this sport... it is impossible for me to get them intrested.
they just shake their heads and show no intrest...
please give some tips!

Pretty designed rc cars, maybe an rc car with its exterior lined with gucci! Track barriers lined with soft pillows to prevent damage. Hmm what else... . Seriously, they don't see it as we do - it sorta like a guy thing to them and or they feel the need to spend $$ on other things. IF you think THIS hobby is expensive, check out the people who upgrade their computers and spend in excess of $4000! Also, a couple had a major financial issue, and the main problem was the Mothers hobby - arts n crafts. On beads and strings she spend over $10,000 in a year! I only spent $1000 in rc stuff within two 1/2 years or so...not on one rc but all. Wow! Anyway here's another female racer and she runs 8th onroad. I hope she doesn't mind I posted her picture here.

Looks like she has a RB C5 in there! Sweet!

Nope, don't mind you posting the pics. That's me at the O'Donnell race at Revelation in 2005. That is a RB C5 engine in my MRX3. And yes, I do work on my car if I have to. Would rather have Jim do it but he was pitting for someone at the time. It's all fun though..

Awesome indeed!!! Too bad my mom doesn't like RC's. That way, I wouldn't have to worry about her naggin about what I buy! How cool it would be to have a mom, gf, or wife, on your side at the LHS decidin what to get, or at home browsin on the net for rc stuff for the next big event? Ahhh...a rc hobbyists dream come true...aside from winning the lottery!

yeah, they spend more than 4000, my step-dad use to do that
he payed 60+ a month way back for one of the first High Speed internet lines in the city, and went out and bough 500+ video cards everymonth for one game

and i did a trade off with a friend of mine, i went to the mall, and she drove my car, and broke it, hit the wall and riped the battery holder right off my xxx-s chasis (i know its eletric)

What type of car is best to begin with for a girl?

my girl said that her oldest brother had a 1/10? electric offroad car somewhere in their summer cottage. So i will have a look at it and try to get her intrested but its hard to find a place for her to practice.. i mean driving around.. it isnt so fun to drive outside the garage round and round.. and it will certanly (spell?) decrease the tires i think it doesnt work to drive around our club's offroad track no one drives electric offroad cars on that hehe..

so maybe i can get her liking to drive but im not sure.. she are intrested in music and have no time for other hobbies or for her spare time.. closly event me

i will wait and see haha..
break down and come again

I have nothing against women and rc but I do think its good to have time away from the significant other as well, and for me my time away from the wife is rc. So her not being interested is just fine with me..We have been married almost 20 yrs so we have both gotten well beyond the need to be at each others side 24/7.. I'm also skeptical about most guys motivation behind wanting their woman interested.. most of it seems to be a way to keep them from complaining about the money spent..... the way I see it is that if there isn't enough money coming in that you honestly both spend the same amount on a hobby then maybe that hobby is outside your budget....

there are too many boys/men that are driving.. we need more girl/women drivers!! the attitude is very irritating around all men drivers..

hmm.. dont know if anyone understood that
