Actually I am talking about parts availability at the Local Hobby Shops and not via mailorder...But yah it is quite different from place to place.

Availability of parts to me is very important! afterall this is a hobby regardless of what kind of car you have the best one or the ok one, if you couldnt get replacement parts when you break something then it kills the whole point of the hobby! Since a hobby is to relax you from torturing from work or stress!
That's a reason why I got MTX-2, there are at least 3 LHS within 30 minutes driving from where I live and they stock pretty good on parts. That's the reason I chose MTX-2 over VoneR.

Just my $0.02

Thumbs up

When I was in the market for a new car these were the two cars that I was looking at. I chose the V-One R because I think it looks cleaner and its a newer car. Where in live in Southern California Kyosho prices are out of control. Mugen seems to be a little cheaper. Also Mugen parts are more available than the Kyosho parts. This goes the same with hop-up parts. The only V-one R hop ups available locally for me are the few at Speedtech. I agree with you guys saying that the MTX-2 is lighter. I think the MTX-2 is stiffer when comparing the stock chassis that the cars come with. The stock V-One R chassis is cheap but the V-One R totally rocks straight out of the box.

Totally agree! in fact I think driving skill is much more important than the car itself! (of course we will need to compare cars in the same level). It isnt one is better than the other type of stuff, we all enjoy the hobby.

I think VoneR, GT4, MTX-2 all are great cars! In fact I have seem Yokomo team driver runing their Yok in Crystal Park Raceway and that son of a bitch is fast! I mean really fast! See the problem is hard to get parts, granded a team driver might be able to get all those hop ups for free or may be just pay a little next to nothing and stuff but that's not most people case!

Just my $0.02
