Did you (just to try) ever used "duck tape" or "power tape", to close the chassis, but from the topside?
So first remove the front suspension and close the hole with tape....
This even might work for quiet a long time.....
with lexan, when you cut a car body, you can take a piece of lexan
i did that on my 960...like the carbon option part
and i fix it between chassis and front bearing blok
i'll take a pic

yes you can
but like i do,i can remove it when i want, just to unscrew and i put it in my pocket
if you fix it with epoxy,it will be hard to remove,or if you can remove, there will be traces

but you can do as you want,it's your car.......

when i did that,I took as a starting point the version carbon for 960
