Setting Droop on a 8th GT
Hi All
Can you please clarify where you set your droop from, is it under the arm or the hub?? Currently I am lifting the rear inside wheel on medium to fast corners and am thinking I have a bit too much droop in the rear>>>> Also in GT I run a harder sway bar in the rear to the front, will this have an effect?? Running an Xray GTX8 with 8mm droop in rear currently Your opinions please Thanks Jeremy |
We usually measure at the bottom of the hexes. Just place the chassis with tires removed on the setup board, then measure the distance between the flat end of the hex and setup board. You can 3d print blocks for 24/25/26/27mm and set the droop accordingly

Thanks for the information, can you clarify your comment with respect to 3d blocks for 24,25,26mm...........(what are you referring to here?)
Thanks Jeremy |
I'm talking about custom 3d printed blocks that has a flat spot for the hexes of the car to be placed on. Here's one I've drawn (took me 5 minutes) and printed for example:

If you want to copy a setup then it is wise to find out how it is measured, If you just want to not setup changes to your self, who cares where you measure it! And if you publish setup sheets just give a note where you did measure it.

I was wondering if you were going to write something to this topic as well. You don't disappoint...
